Lord Adonis's national 'Anti-Brexit' tour set to arrive in Milton Keynes this Wednesday

Two 'anti-Brexit' events are being organised for this coming Wednesday in Milton Keynes, set to be hosted by the European Movement Milton Keynes group.

The first is specifically for young people and will be taking place at Milton Keynes College at 2pm.

Speakers at the event will include Madeleina Kay, who was recently labelled as Young European Of The Year, as well as Will Dry, one of the founders of the young people's campaigning group Our Future Our Choice.

Lord (Andrew) Adonis, who has been making a number of high profile appearances over the past few months is also set to attend.

The group say they have also invited local MPs Mark Lancaster and Iain Stewart but claim they have not confirmed attendance.

A second event open to all ages will then take place in the evening at Christ The Cornerstone Church at 7pm, hosted by Lord Adonis.

The event organisers said: "As part of his national tour of areas that voted Leave in the EU Referendum, Lord (Andrew) Adonis is visiting Milton Keynes to talk to voters about why they voted the way they did and to make the case for a referendum on the final deal."

"Following a special event for young people in the afternoon, and a street stall in the early evening, the final event of the day is a discussion/debate about the issues concerning voters and how Brexit will affect their everyday lives."

"Andrew and Will are keen to speak to people who voted Leave as well as those who voted Remain."

Milton Keynes voted to leave the European Union with 51.4% of the vote in the national referendum in June 2016.
