Laura Alfred, from Think Flex Coaching, will be discussing the "mayhem mindset" on Psychologies Magazine's Facebook live stream tomorrow (2/4).
The mayhem mindset is how to mentally prepare for the situation we are currently in. "There is plenty of guidance on how to physically change but very little on how to mentally prepare for this massive change," says Laura.
During the live stream, Laura will be exploring:
- Letting go - Being comfortable in the unknown and not trying to be in control.
- Acceptance - This is the situation and not wasting time wishing it was different
- Gratitude - Looking for the silver lining in your situation
There will also be listening exercises and creative tasks on how to communicate with yourself and your household about the emotions you may be feeling. The mindset coach will also share some tips on how to keep your usual routine through technology and social media.
Laura continued: "The aim is to help people through change and showing them that it doesn't have to be a completely different life because we are social distancing - it could be a great opportunity instead."
The live stream will be on Psychologies Magazine's Connected Community Facebook page at 1pm tomorrow afternoon.
