    MKFM will be updating this article LIVE throughout the day as results for Milton Keynes come in.

    Elections have taken place in MK across all 19 Borough Wards, with one vacancy in each ward except for Central Milton Keynes ward, which has two vacancies.

    Elections were held in 230 of England's 317 councils, within district, borough, county borough and unitary authority councils with results coming in waves throughout today. All councils are expected to declare by 8pm on Friday. Full results are expected in for Milton Keynes by 3pm.

    With a General Election looming in 2024, the 2023 local elections are predicted to be a big indicator for next year's results.

    Currently, Milton Keynes is run by the Progressive Alliance, a Labour and Liberal Democrat coalition.

    This year, there are a few notable names seeking re-election, including Milton Keynes City Council leader Peter Marland (Labour) and deputy leader Robin Bradburn (Lib Dem).
