LIVE: Large police presence in Milton Keynes as officers deal with incident

    A large section of Silbury Boulevard is currently taped off while police deal with an incident.

    12:42pm: Thames Valley Police is appealing for information after a stabbing in Milton Keynes.

    The force was called to reports of a man being assaulted in Silbury Boulevard about 5.30am today (13/7).

    On arrival, police officers found a man in his twenties with stab wounds. The victim is currently in hospital with non-life threatening facial injuries.

    10:36am: Milton Keynes Central Library is closed and access to Registrar's is affected today.

    The City Council says it will reopen as soon as they are able to.

    10:30am: Large police presence remains in place at the junction, with roads still closed.

    Forensics reportedly on the scene.

    8:22am: The junction at Silbury Boulevard and Saxon Gate is closed until further notice, Milton Keynes City Council says.

    8:07am: Police have secured a large scene in the area of Central Milton Keynes following an incident in the early hours of the morning, close to the library and immediate surrounding areas.

    There are currently road closures in place and police are asking members of the public to avoid the area whilst they progress their investigation.
