All lanes have now re-opened on the M1 southbound following an accident earlier this evening.
Two lanes were closed on the southbound carriageway between J16 for Daventry and J15A for Northampton Services until around 6pm.
Traffic was stopped for a short period at about 4.30pm before one lane opened past the scene.
