A shopping centre in Milton Keynes has announced the return of its much-loved Christmas experience.
centre:mk shopping centre is inviting visitors to experience a nostalgic adventure to Santa’s Grotto with an exciting and heart-warming live interpretation of ‘The Snowman™’ brought to life by actors portraying the well-loved children’s Christmas characters from the original story.
The snowy landscape provides a joyful backdrop to view some of the most magical and memorable moments from the original story, allowing adults and children to enjoy the uplifting moment of the festive season’s arrival.
Families can spend up to 30 minutes in the Grotto including a craft experience before they have their own individual family visit with Santa in his sleigh. Santa will give every child a gift at the end of their adventure and memories can be captured with a delightful family photograph with Santa which can be purchased separately.
Located in centre:mk’s Middleton Hall, Santa’s Grotto is the largest indoor Christmas Grotto in any shopping centre in the UK.
The Grotto launched on Friday 17 November and is running until Sunday 24 December.
Surrounded by a wondrous lighting display of Christmas characters, decorations and over 10,000 twinkly lights, visitors flock to the centre for a truly magical and festive experience.
Alongside the Grotto is the Virtual Reality Sleigh Ride, where visitors can be transported across the globe and even into space.
The Sleigh seats up to eight, offering a unique family attraction.
Once on-board, passengers will receive an HD VR Headset and embark on a fully immersive ride with a full 360-degree experience along with surround sound. In addition families can take a wonderful short train ride through a winter wonderland.
The festive experience continues throughout centre:mk with seven free selfie points dotted around the centre to create fantastic photo opportunities and lasting memories for all ages.

Santa’s Grotto with The Snowman™ opened on 17 November and will run until 24 December. Tickets are on sale now. Children’s tickets will cost £16.50. Baby and adult tickets will be £5.50.
