People will be able to legally dispose of weapons this weekend in Milton Keynes.
Police will be hosting a knife amnesty at The Trinity Centre, Fishermead, on Saturday 16th July between 3pm and 6pm.
A knife amnesty bin allows people who own knives or weapons to voluntarily dispose of them in a safe and legal way.
The aims of the operation, which is taking place across Thames Valley, are to remove dangerous weapons from the streets, reduce knife crime and raise awareness of the dangers and consequences of carrying a knife.
A permanent knife amnesty bin can also be found at Milton Keynes Police Station.
A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police said: "We are doing these amnesty’s to show our commitment to tackling violent crime and remove weapons from the streets.
"Did you know that it is now illegal to possess certain weapons in your home as well as in a public place?
"If you have items such as knuckledusters, flick knives or zombie knives in your home, this is now against the law and could land you with a criminal record.
"We're holding an amnesty so you can hand these in safely and anonymously."
