Residents are being urged to 'keep trying' if they cannot book a coronavirus vaccine appointment in Milton Keynes straight away.
People aged 55-years-old and over, or those who are vulnerable, are now eligible to receive their COVID-19 vaccine.
Eligible residents are receiving letters and text messages encouraging them to book their slot online.
However many individuals have reported that upon going to book their slot they are unable to find a nearby vaccination centre, with the closest sometimes being Bedford and Buckingham.
Cllr Pete Marland, the Leader of Milton Keynes Council, has since stated that people who wish to find a local centre should "keep trying" as appointments are made available daily.
He explained: "You will be offered appointments via the website at vaccination centres where the vaccine is available. If you're not offered a local appointment and want to book a vaccination in MK, don't give up if you can't see a slot straight away.
"New appointments are added every day. Keep trying and you should be able to book one locally before too long. If you'd rather wait and be vaccinated at a local GP surgery, just ignore your letter or text and your surgery will contact you."
New data shows that over 83,000 doses of the vaccine have been administered in Milton Keynes so far.
This means that around one in three people in Milton Keynes has had at their jab.
When looking at the older population, 86.5% of residents aged 60-years-old and over have had at least one dose - this equates to 46,649 people.
4,695 of these individuals that are over the age of 60 are now fully vaccinated against the virus.
