Men and women stars visit children’s wards to spread Christmas cheer.
Players from MK Dons’ men’s and women’s first teams took time away from their busy festive schedules to visit Milton Keynes University Hospital children’s wards last week.
Dons regulars Alex Gilbey, Liam Kelly, Laurence Maguire, Callum Hendry and Joe Tomlinson, were joined by team boss Scott Lindsey and assistant Carl Laraman as well as ladies team members Sydney Wootton and Favour Omenazu, to spend time with patients and their families on the two children’s wards.
The players and coaches handed out presents paid for by the first team squad and then matched by the club, as well as gifts kindly supplied by technical partner Castore.
“It's a crucial part of our calendar, we've done it for many years now and the players always look forward to it,” said Simon Crampton, Dons’ Football Operations Director.
“Visiting the hospital, the team recognise that not everyone is as fortunate as they are over Christmas, and they collect a substantial amount of money for presents for everyone on the ward.
“It's at the fabric of what we do at MK Dons, it's all about connecting with the Milton Keynes community."
The team and everyone at Stadium MK thanked Milton Keynes University Hospital for allowing them to spend the afternoon with the children, their parents and hospital staff on the Yuletide visit.
