Milton Keynes Council is actively monitoring the situation, and has issued the following statement to people in Beanhill: "In Beanhill and affected by flooding? We’re supporting Beanhill Residents Association to help local residents. Our lovely team at Moorlands Children’s Centre have opened the centre for people who need to leave their properties."

"Other staff are out and about across MK to check for flooding and give support where needed."

Those who wish to leave their flooded property can visit the Moorlands Children's Centre at 6 Dodkin, Beanhill.

Areas that have been affected today include Bletchley, Newport Pagnell, Netherfield and Coffee Hall.

There have been dozens of 999 calls made to Bucks Fire, and crews have rescued a number of residents from their homes.
