Hotel near Milton Keynes to close its doors permanently following coroanvirus lockdown

A hotel near Milton Keynes is to close its doors permanently following the coronavirus lockdown.

The Woburn Hotel in Woburn have announced that they will not be re-opening again.

A statement on the hotel website states: "Having closed our doors on Saturday 21st March following the government directive, it is with much regret that the extremely difficult decision has been made for The Woburn Hotel to remain closed permanently."

"Our dedicated colleagues are now in the process of contacting all our guests who have forthcoming reservations with us."

"If you do wish to contact us, please do so on info@thewoburnhotel.co.uk and we will respond to your query as soon as possible."

"We would like to thank all of our guests, colleagues and partners for your loyalty, support and friendship to us all over the years and wish you well for the future."

The news comes just weeks after the closure of local wedding venue Chicheley Hall who said that "the resulting devastating economic impact on the hospitality industry, together with heightened operational restrictions, meant we have taken the difficult decision to close our doors permanently."

In better news for hospitality in Milton Keynes, Stadium MK, the Marshall Arena and Doubletree by Hilton Milton Keynes announced last month that they are ready to host weddings and corporate events of all sizes.
