A magical mile-long lantern festival is set to light up Milton Keynes this winter – and we want to find an unsung hero from the city to officially open the festival to the public.
Land of Lights is arriving at Gulliver’s Land from 12 November 2022 until 23 February 2023, bringing 12 vivid dreamworlds to the park featuring gigantic lanterns inspired by animals, mega monuments, and wonders of the natural world.
And, in partnership with Gulliver’s Theme Parks and Resorts, MKFM is on the hunt for a local unsung hero.
We want to find someone who shines brightly in the Milton Keynes community and lights up those around them, to join MKFM presenter Hawa Kassam in officially opening the Land of Lights festival on the evening of Saturday 12 November.
The winner, who can be any age, will also be presented with a family ticket for the opening night.

The winner will be selected on Friday 4th November.
