Have your say with the Milton Keynes community safety and crime survey

Residents are being invited to have their say on community safety in Milton Keynes.

Milton Keynes City Council and the Safer MK partnership are encouraging people to complete the annual Community Safety Survey, which aims to gather feedback from residents, businesses and visitors about tackling anti-social behaviour and other crime.

Every year feedback from the survey is used to help ensure the right resources are put into addressing community safety issues. Responses from the last survey led to the city council and partners securing almost £750,000 in funding to make streets safer in Central Milton Keynes for women and girls.

The survey has been open since 22 May and respondents have until 30 June to provide their feedback. It only takes a few minutes to complete and is available on the city council’s website.

Cabinet Member responsible for Community Safety, Cllr Lauren Townsend said: “Community safety is everyone’s responsibility and we’re committed to working with our partners and local people to create a safer and more welcoming environment.

"We can only deliver on what matters most to our communities if we listen to their concerns and priorities. I’d strongly encourage everyone to take part in the survey which will provide us with invaluable information to achieve the best results for our residents.”
