Families visiting Gulliver’s Land next month can help people in crisis by making a food bank donation to receive discounted tickets.
The Food Bank Weekend is on May 18 and May 19, with ticket prices from only £14 per person when each guests brings along a non-perishable item of food to donate And, as usual, entry to Gulliver’s Land is free for children under 90cms in height.
The items will be donated to MK Foodbank, which provides short-term crisis support and cares for families and individuals in Milton Keynes.
Examples of food that can be donated include tinned fruit, small jars of coffee, long life milk, tinned meat (hot and cold, such as stewed steak or spam), tinned spaghetti and ravioli, cream crackers, juice cordials, tinned custard, jellies, Angel Delight desserts, and evaporated milk.
Sue Conway, resort director at Gulliver’s Land, said: “We are so pleased to be able to support the work of MK Foodbank once again. When we hold these special events in conjunction with charities, families love to come along and do their bit to help – and have an exciting time in the park, of course!
“MK Foodbank is doing all it can to support our local community when they need extra help and that is something that everyone at Gulliver’s is keen to support with.”
