Milton Keynes Pride Festival is back this Saturday 9th September.
Take a look at this year's GUIDE TO PRIDE ahead of the festival this Saturday 9th September!
MyMiltonKeynes will be throwing its support behind one of the city’s most inclusive celebration festivals as Pride returns to Campbell Park this Saturday!
Last year, the glamorous free event attracted more than 16,000 people to the city with the aim of challenging the discrimination of the LGBTQIA+ community, bringing people together to celebrate and support others – and adding some colour to the city.
Melanie J Beck MBE, Chief Executive at MyMiltonKeynes said: “We are so incredibly proud to throw our support behind such an inclusive and wonderful event. Milton Keynes is open to everyone and festivals like this really help to promote that inclusivity.
“We can’t wait to see what this year’s festival brings, although we know it will produce plenty of colour, happiness and positivity – which is everything that Milton Keynes stands for, and everything MyMiltonKeynes looks to promote.”
This year’s event, as always, encourages people from all walks of life to attend including families – although those under 16 will need to be accompanied by an adult at all times.
The format will follow previous events with a family-friendly feeling between 12pm and 6pm and a more adult vibe from 6pm onwards with language and lyrical content no longer restricted.
There will be a funfair, food village, rainbow market, kids space and plenty of incredible performances on the rainbow stage.
