Green plan growing for Milton Keynes firm

Technology business plants trees to help the environment.

A Milton Keynes company has planted more than 300 trees in the city in a bid to offset emissions and encourage future regeneration.

InReach Group, of Crownhill, teamed up recently with sustainable tree growing organisation Treeapp to plant 300 saplings in a local forest. The plan is to create more space for plants and wildlife to flourish there while offsetting carbon emissions.

It’s part of a wider reaching initiative from the business support firm, which supplies print and photocopier materials among its services. And InReach has said it is dedicated to making an impact on the environment and local communities, by helping its clients meet their sustainability targets.

The company has pledged to plant trees every time it completes a service solution for a customer, saying that one regular 40 foot tree is equivalent to 8,350 sheets of A4 paper.

And while its tree planting efforts often span the UK and even abroad to countries like Brazil, where paper production occurs, the latest project was centred around the Milton Keynes area.

“This wasn’t just about numbers, it was about nurturing a diverse and thriving ecosystem,” said Richard Merrell, InReach marketing director. “The planting effort included a mix of native trees and fruit trees, ensuring benefits for the environment while contributing to the local community’s long-term agricultural resilience.”

“As we continue to expand our sustainability efforts globally, this milestone serves as a reminder that local action has global implications. Together, we’re proving that small steps – like planting a single tree – can grow into a forest of positive change.”
