Bletchley and Fenny Stratford Town Council has received grants for local charities and organisations.
Councillor Ed Hume, Labour and Cooperative Councillor for Bletchley East, took to social media to announce the outcome of the Great Town Council meeting last night (29/3).
The Town Council received £12,250 to be given as grants to local charities and community organisations.
- £500 to the Bletchley Bowls club to host a bowls festival to celebrate the jubilee open to all the community
- £5000 to Willen Hospice to help fund the care and support to residents in need
- £1000 to MKYMCA to fund 10 welcome packs for new residents
- £750 for Bletchley Girl Guides to host a fun day for the jubilee
- £4000 given for the Big Jubliee Lunch in Leon Rec
- £1000 for the Lions club to host an afternoon tea for our senior residents for the Jubilee in the local coronation hall. Residents will be able to exchange memories, pictures from the coronation and other royal events.
