This morning (27/1), MKFM shared an appeal after a lost budgie appeared at Stadium MK... and we have some good news!
The bird, called George (as in George from Peppa Pig), escaped from its home in Caldecotte just over a week ago. George flew out of its home, and away from his companion Peppa, when his owner opened the door to let the dog out.
Mark Watson, from Stadium MK, found George on the balcony of Marco Pierre White Stakehouse Bar & Grill this morning (27/1) when he was doing some operational checks.
He said: "It was very scared but did not try and get away. I got it in a napkin and placed it in a box with an opening."
Mark was unsure what to feed George so he served Alpen for breakfast, and a small piece of bread soaked in water.
The owner of the bird heard the news on MKFM, and this afternoon went along to collect him.
