Fans prepare for Milton Keynes Darts Masters

Full houses expected as sport’s big stars line up for major tournament.

Newly-crowned world darts champ Luke Littler is one of several big names arriving in Milton Keynes for this weekend’s 2025 Winmau World Masters.

The 18-year-old features in his first ranking event since his historic Alexandra Palace win earlier this month, and lines up among a galaxy of darts stars including current number one seed Luke Humphries, five-time Masters champion Michael van Gerwen, Stephen Bunting, who won last year’s Masters title, and world number four Rob Cross.

Littler, nicknamed The Nuke, is the youngest darts player ever to be crowned world champion and will be gunning for a share of the massive £500,000 prize fund on offer at the 2025 Winmau World Masters, which is taking place at Arena MK.

Preliminary rounds of the tournament start tomorrow (Wednesday), ahead of the televised main event from Thursday, right through to Sunday. The event is largely sold out as darts fans eagerly await the spectacle.

The top 24 players from the game's Order of Merit, following the World Darts Championship, will automatically qualify for the 32-player main event – with 16 players to be seeded.

The tournament will be played in the sets format, with each set being the best of three legs.

The eventual Winmau World Masters champion will take home a £100,000 prize, with £50,000 on offer to the runner-up.
