The three Labour MPs for Milton Keynes have today welcomed news that a new Women’s and Children’s Hospital will be built for the city’s residents.
The Government since being elected last July have worked hard to ensure funding was provided to see this expansion happen at Milton Keynes Hospital which had some of the longest waiting times in the country.
Chris Curtis, MP for Milton Keynes North, said, “The state that the NHS was left in by the Conservatives is nothing short of shameful. I have made it clear that my number one priority is fixing the mess that they left.”
Emily Darlington, MP for Milton Keynes Central, said, “It is this Labour Government that is investing in women’s and children’s health in our city after we have been so badly let down in the last 14 years. This will mean so much to so many across Milton Keynes.”
Callum Anderson, MP for Buckingham and Bletchley, concluded, “The new hospital is fully costed and fully funded, with a clear plan of action and next steps. This is the difference a Labour government makes. No empty promises, we’re getting the job done.
