EXCLUSIVE: Next Beauty store expected to replace Debenhams in Milton Keynes

MKFM understands that a Next Beauty store is set to replace the former Debenhams unit at Intu Milton Keynes.

Debenhams confirmed that the Milton Keynes store would not be re-opening again in June after they were unable to agree new terms with the landlord.

But now Next appear to be moving in with plans for a brand new Multi Brand Beauty and Home store in Milton Keynes.

The company is currently advertising for a number of positions at the 'Milton Keynes Beauty' store, including a Sales Manager, Beauty and Home Coordinators, Sales Consultants, Delivery Assistants and Office and Stock Assistants.

All positions are being advertised on the Next Careers website with a closing date of 31st August.

The company currently stock around 200 beauty brands online, including Benefit, Clinique, Origins, The Ordinary, GHD, Dermalogica and Aveda.

But they have said they now want to create a "premium retail environment" for Beauty products on the high street with their new venture of the Next Beauty retail store.

Next already agreed a deal in May to take over five former Debenhams locations in Birmingham, Glasgow, Leicester, Reading and Croydon.

And the company is now also advertising for the new Beauty roles in Watford and in Gateshead, which were the other two Debenhams locations at Intu centres that closed their doors in June.

Official confirmation of the replacement in Milton Keynes has not yet been given by Intu or Next.
