Everything you need to know before Reggae Land at the National Bowl in Milton Keynes this weekend

    The huge and popular Reggae Land Festival is making its return to Milton Keynes this weekend, with a brand new location - the iconic National Bowl. Here is everything you need to know...

    Taking place on 5th and 6th August, festival organisers are promising an even 'bigger and better' Reggae Land across two days, featuring a line up of reggae, dub, dancehall, jungle and more.

    Music fans can expect a line up of huge international artists, reggae flea market, Caribbean food village with 50+ traders, carnival float stage, carnival dancers, a fairground, rum shacks and more.

    Residents are being urged to plan their journeys ahead with over 15,000 people expected to be heading to the National Bowl.

    Thames Valley Police say an increased presence will be in place in the area.

    Who's performing?

    This year's line-up will see Jamaican Rapper and global superstar Sean Paul - with hits such as Temperature, No Lie and She Doesn't Mind, take to the stage in Milton Keynes.

    Grammy Award Winning Artist Beenie Man will also face the crowd along with 'Who Knows' singer Protoje. 

    Barrington Levy, Albarosie & the Shengen Clan, Freddie McGregor & The Big Ship Crew, Kabaka Pyramid and Steel Pulse are also among the line-up.

    Other acts include Shy FX, David Rodigan and Mr Vegas.

    Opening times

    The event starts at 12pm with last entry time at 5pm, the event will finish at 11pm.

    There will be no re-entry to the site.

    Where can I park?

    The Stadium MK have put on parking around the festival site for Reggae Land ticket holders to purchase.

    This is located in the North & East Bowl car parks (MK5 8AA).

    The Furzton Lake Car Park right next door to the Bowl is being managed by Sul Lago.

    Event goers have a designated car park charged at £10 per car.

    Sul Lago and Dinosaur Valley are open as usual with designated car parking spaces, you just need to have your booking reference ready.

    Car park opening times

    The car parks will be open from 10am until 2am.

    What can you bring?

    Hand sanitisers (100ml or less) will be allowed upon security checking the contents of the bottle.

    Unsealed bottles of water, chairs, and small picnics will be allowed.

    What is the age limit?

    Reggae Land is a family-friendly event however, people under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
