All trains have been cancelled between London Euston and Rugby today, disrupting Milton Keynes services.
Avanti West Coast took to Twitter to say: "Due to falling trees and damage to overhead lines, all services between London Euston & Rugby are cancelled for the rest of today, Friday 18 Feb. Please do not attempt to travel to or from Euston. Tickets for Fri 18 Feb will be valid for Sat 19, Sun 20 or Mon 21 Feb.
"Alternatively, customers can claim a full refund for their ticket at point of purchase."
This comes as schools, shops, public services and roads have had to close up and down the country due to strong winds.
Earlier today (18/2), many schools across Milton Keynes took advice to close their doors and go to online learning as the Met Office issued a yellow warning for strong winds.
Neighbouring towns were affected with Red warnings, leaving Milton Keynes residents just that little bit more wary.
People across the country have been warned to avoid travelling altogether and to take extra care as winds could hit up to 65mph in some areas of MK.
