Cornish Bakery has officially thrown open the doors of its largest property this year in Milton Keynes today.
The new bakery will immediately create 24 year-round local jobs whilst supporting the community through an exciting partnership with a local Milton Keynes charity, which will be selected by the new bakery team.
The new Cornish Bakery is located in a corner location within the Centre:mk shopping centre near to Clarks, Next and John Lewis. The huge space has seating for up to 82 people and its floor to ceiling glass frontage allows plentiful light to stream in, creating a peaceful haven for shoppers to relax in between their shopping. The open bakery kitchen area allows fascinated customers the opportunity to watch the team making, shaping and baking their delicious products throughout the day.
Milton Keynes newest bakery will sell Cornish Bakery’s range of cult-loved products including its award-winning pasties and sausage rolls, both recently lauded by The Times’ food reviewer Giles Coren. Additionally, daily crafted and baked viennoiseries, cakes, and bakes will see the twice-baked Pistachio Croissant, stuffed with homemade frangipane, pistachio cream and topped with nibbed pistachios on the counter alongside the Shakshuka Croissant, filled with lightly spiced roasted peppers and sun-dried tomatoes and a cheesy bechamel sauce.
Just released for the season, the new Cornish Bakery Winter Bun will feature, delightfully sticky and spicy with candied orange peel, cranberries and marzipan, baked until golden then dusted with icing sugar for a perfect winter treat.
Cornish Bakery has a long-standing commitment to the B-Corp certified specialty coffee company Union. They work in partnership with farmers to improve both quality of coffee and livelihoods long-term, and Cornish Bakery carries this forward with every cup of coffee served in all its bakeries. The company also proudly sources a large majority of its ingredients and products from producers, growers and suppliers from across Cornwall and the south west at large. This includes the bakeries new iced drink range which features an iced americano using Union Roasted espresso, the iced chai and an iced Italian chocolate option.
