The centre:mk has reassured residents that "Christmas is not cancelled" as they unveil the theme of this year's grotto.
The new, immersive and theatrical Christmas adventure will be brought to life by actors playing the part of Peter Rabbit and other well-known Beatrix Potter characters.
Children will meet Squirrel Nutkin, Mr. Tod and even decorate elf biscuits with Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle, before meeting Santa himself.
Each family will spend 25 to 30 minutes enjoying the experience, which includes a decorated Christmas Elf biscuit in a gift bag and a gift from Santa for each child.
Kevin Duffy, Centre Director, said: “Christmas really is for the children and we wanted to bring something extra special this year to try and make up for what has been a very difficult year for everybody. The team have been planning this for months, scrutinising every aspect to ensure it can be delivered in line with all the Government guidance. We are very lucky to have such a huge event space in Middleton Hall, which with the wide airy malls does make it all a little easier to ensure we can deliver that special festive spirit while making sure everyone can visit with confidence."
Each booking is limited to five tickets with a maximum of two adults. Please only book tickets to attend with members of your own household or social bubble. Temperature checks, track and trace and hand sanitisers are available throughout and after each visit the grotto is rigorously cleaned.
The grotto will be open from 13th November to 24th December. For more information visit centremk.com
