Co-op in Newport Pagnell set to re-open next week following £750,000 refurbishment

The Co-Op, located at 75-77 High Street, will be reopening on Monday (5/4) following a near £750,000 refurbishment project.

It has been closed throughout the month of March to allow a re-fit to take place, which the company says will "transform" the 5,000 sq ft store.

The improvements include energy-efficient lighting and refrigeration, and new self-scan tills have also been installed for added ease, speed and convenience.

The popular Co-Op store, which is the second Co-Op along the High Street, runs on 100% renewable electricity and provides 20 local jobs.

Ragesh Hindocha, Co-op Area Manager, said: "The store has a great new look. We are delighted to have had the opportunity to carry out such a significant investment to transform the store - we have worked to develop the range, choice, products and services locally that will create a really compelling offer in the community."

Opening between 7am-10pm between Monday to Saturday, and 10am-4pm on Sunday, the store includes Amazon Lockers, Costa Coffee express, a and bakery.
