The Parks Trust has created a 5-day nature challenge to keep children busy during the half-term break.
The charity, which is responsible for maintaining over 6,000 acres of local parkland, usually hosts open days and face-to-face activities for children during the holidays.
Although the nation is in lockdown, the outdoor learning team is encouraging children and their families to get outdoors and "appreciate all that nature has to offer".
That is why The Parks Trust has launched the 5-day nature challenge. It consists of various activities that can be completed in a local park or garden.
The 5-day challenge includes:
Day 1 – Create a nature journal
Day 2 – Make a bird feeder
Day 3 – Go on a bug hunting adventure
Day 4 – Become a wildlife detective
Day 5 – Make your own green band from natural instruments
