A local charity, which is a key part of the local community, has raised over £3.5m for Milton Keynes Hospital since fundraising started.
Friends of Milton Keynes Hospital and Community, launched in 1979, is an independent charity that aims to support patients, families, and the local hospital community.
Since they launched they have raised £3.5 million to help improve the hospital environment for patients and their family.
The charity provides various services including the MK Friends Shop and the Trolley Service which is usually a regular part of patients' days.
During the coronavirus pandemic, the charity has launched an online shop were patients, family or friends can order products for patients to be delivered directly to their bed.
The service has been very successful with over 250 deliveries by their volunteers in the last two months and positive feedback from patients and families.
