Charities benefit from Milton Keynes Christmas festival

    More than 12,000 votes cast for best-decorated tree in shopping centre contest.

    The winners of 2024’s Midsummer Place Christmas Tree Festival have been announced.

    The centre’s festive tree competition received 12,130 votes from shoppers and visitors who viewed 14 trees online or in person at its central MK mall. The three trees that received the most votes had a cash donation made to their chosen charity.

    The winners were:

    1st: Slimming World Milton Keynes with Jane, supporting Alzheimer's Research. Charity donation: £1,750

    2nd: Probadge Limited, supporting Medical Detection Dogs. Charity donation: £1,050.

    3rd: Samaritans Milton Keynes, supporting Samaritans Milton Keynes. Charity donation: £750.

    “Thank you to everyone who has taken part in the Midsummer Place Christmas Tree Festival 2024,” said a centre spokesperson.

    “Whether you sponsored and decorated a tree or voted for your favourite trees over the Christmas period, you should feel good in the knowledge you have helped to support some incredible local businesses, organisations and charities.”
