Thames Valley Police is releasing CCTV images of a man officers would like to speak to following an attempted robbery in Woburn Sands.
On 22 July, a man went in to the Co-op in High Street and queued behind another customer. When the customer left, the man approached the counter and asked for cigarettes, he then made threats against a member of staff, an 18-year-old man.
He opened a carrier bag and showed the victim a small knife and wrench inside.
When a second member of staff appeared, the offender left the store.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Wayne Watson, of Force CID in Milton Keynes, says, “This was a very distressing incident for the staff involved.
“Nothing was taken and no-one was hurt, but a member of staff was threatened and has been left very shaken by this incident.
“The man in these images may have vital information about the incident.
“Please get in touch if you recognise this man or if you think this could be you.
“Anyone who may have seen what happened or has information about this incident is encouraged to contact police.”
