Milton Keynes to remain in Tier 4 following review

Milton Keynes will remain in Tier 4 following the latest review of tier levels across England.

It means our city will remain in the toughest set of restrictions, with non-essential retail and hospitality remaining closed and people being told to stay at home.

However, the start of term for both secondary schools and primary schools in Milton Keynes will be delayed.

Milton Keynes has been in Tier 4 since Sunday 20th December.

A number of other areas in England have been moved to tougher restrictions.

Nearby Northamptonshire will move to Tier 4 from midnight tonight, moving up from the Tier 3 restrictions currently in force.

Tier 4 restrictions will also apply to areas including Leicestershire, Birmingham, Staffordshire, Lancashire and Greater Manchester.

Some areas are also being moved up to Tier 3 including Cornwall, the Liverpool City Region and York and North Yorkshire.
