A brand new play park has officially opened on the Lakes Estate, as part of the regeneration of the estate.
On Friday, local councillors officially opened a brand new play park on the Lakes Estate with the help of some local residents.
The new play park is pirate-themed and all of the play equipment was influenced by the design work of a talented local primary school pupil.
It comes as the next part of the regeneration of the estate, led by residents within the local community, especially the Lakes estate Renewal Forum, Serpentine Court Steering Group, the residents association and local schools.
In the latest regeneration update, a spokesperson for MK Council said that work on the courtyards will be taking place this month. "The courtyards are being given a new lease of life as we clean up the weeds, fly tipping and set out new grass areas. These works will continue over the coming month, and the installation of the seats and planters within Courtyard A's will happen as soon as Serco have the capacity to do so."
Health and safety works to parts of Serpentine Court are also set to be commencing shortly and are expected to continue until the end of July 2022.
