Body found at Milton Keynes Coachway believed to be that of man who went missing on Wednesday

Thames Valley Police have told MKFM that they believe the body found at the Milton Keynes Coachway yesterday is that of a man who went missing on Wednesday.

Thames Valley Police officers attended The Coachway, Milton Keynes after the body of a man was found at around 12.15pm yesterday afternoon. 

A missing persons investigation had been launched in connection with a man who went missing from Milton Keynes on Wednesday.

Prior to the individual being reported missing police had attended an address following reports of an incident.

As part of police search activity which was taking place, a body was located by officers at The Coachway.

Although formal identification is yet to take place, the body is believed to be that of the man who was reported missing. 

The death is currently being treated as unexplained but is not believed to be suspicious.

The man’s next of kin have been informed and are currently being supported by specially trained officers. Officers left the scene yesterday evening

The force has made a mandatory referral to the Independent Police Complaints Commission (IPCC) due to the death occurring following police contact.
