Apple Store remains closed following evacuation of Milton Keynes shopping centre

A shopping centre in Milton Keynes was evacuated earlier today (11 October), following reports of ‘smoke’ from a retail building.

Emergency services were called to Midsummer Place, in Central Milton Keynes, due to reports of ‘smoke’ coming from a retail unit.

It has now been confirmed by the shopping centre that it has reopened following an investigation from Bucks Fire and Rescue.

As a precaution, the Apple Store is set to remain closed for the rest of the day.

It is not confirmed when the store will reopen.

“We would like to thank you all again for your patience,” Midsummer Place says.
