Appeal for witnesses following incident of affray in Milton Keynes

    Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses to an incident of affray in Milton Keynes.

    The incident occurred at around 12.20pm yesterday (23/12) outside the shops on Farthing Grove, Netherfield.

    Two men were seen with weapons, and got into an altercation with a man and woman.

    The two men chased the man and woman, who were able to get away in a vehicle.

    An 18-year-old man from Milton Keynes was arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon and has since been released on police bail until 24 March.

    Investigating officer, Sergeant Jacqueline Baverstock, based at Milton Keynes police station, said: “I understand that this incident may seem alarming. At this time, there is no evidence to link this incident to other incidents that took place in Milton Keynes yesterday evening.

    “I am appealing to anybody who witnessed this incident to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police.

    “This incident was witnessed by a number of members of the public, and I would also ask anyone who was in the area at the time of the offence to check their dash-cam footage.
