Thames Valley Police is appealing for information in connection with an assault in Milton Keynes.
The victims, an 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old boy, were walking from the Kingston Centre to Kingston Library along Winchester Circle at about 4.30pm on Friday (10/5).
A group of four males then approached the victims and chased them to Kingston and Brinklow Roundabout and the underpass nearby.
The victims were assaulted by the group who used a hammer as a weapon.
Witnesses believe that a firearm was discharged by one of the offenders, but no-one received any firearms injuries.
The two victims suffered head injuries and were treated at Milton Keynes University Hospital. They have since been discharged from hospital.
The offenders are described as:
- a mixed race man, in his mid-twenties, about 5ft 9ins, muscular with short black hair
- a black boy about 16-years-old, about 5ft 10ins, slim with short black hair
- a black man in his late teens or early twenties, about 5ft 8ins to 1ins, with afro twists, wearing all black clothing
- a white boy, about 16-years-old, about 5ft 9ins to 10ins, blonde hair and wearing a school uniform
Investigating officer Detective Constable Wayne Watson, of Milton Keynes Force CID said: “I am appealing to anyone who has any information about this unprovoked attack to contact police as soon as possible.
“It is believed that the victims may have got into a verbal altercation with two of the offenders in McDonalds in the Kingston Centre prior to the assault.
“I am particularly interested in hearing from anyone who has dashcam, CCTV or mobile phone footage of the initial verbal altercation or the assault.
