Hilltops Medical Centre in Great Holm has had to close due to a "confirmed case of coronavirus".
A statement on the GP's website says an individual who has been identified as a possible COVID-19 case has recently attended the surgery.
In line with Public Health England (PHE) guidance, the surgery is closed for cleaning to remove any potential risk for patients.
A statement on the website says: "Once the cleaning is complete, the practice will advise patients when we will re- open. Patients and staff can be reassured that their safety is the top priority, and patients are encouraged to attend all appointments as usual unless told otherwise.
"Should you need an appointment whilst we are closed please contact 111."
MKFM has also received reports of the pharmacy in Great Holm being closed too.
