£100,000 has been proposed for youth activities in Fullers Slade as part of the Council’s regeneration plans for the estate.
MK Council's Progressive Alliance has proposed the money as part of their budget plans, which will be discussed at Full Council in February.
If the money is approved, the money will go towards a programme of activities for young people which could include sports, social, educational, and creative activities.
The aim is to reduce anti-social behaviour in the estate, while boosting skills and opportunities.
Milton Keynes Council would work with the community to establish the most desirable activities and then see them be led by both the community and local organisations – similar to what will be done in the Lakes Estate.
Councillor Emily Darlington, Labour Progressive Alliance Cabinet Member for Adults, Housing and Healthy Communities, said: “The multi-million-pound regeneration of Fullers Slade will see hundreds of new, eco-friendly homes be built, alongside new community facilities and public realm improvements.
"Regeneration is about improving the lives of local residents, ensuring everyone has the same opportunities to live a long and healthy life. That is why, as part of our Council Plan, we will continue to work with the community to move the regeneration plans forward.”
