For more than five years, The Three Trees, a local family owned pub and carvery, has been dedicated to supporting The Henry Allen Trust.
A local charity whose mission is to help provide advice, support, fun and laughter to families affected by childhood cancer. With a number of charity events in the past and having created a special partnership of support between the staff at The Three Tree’s and Henry’s Mum and Dad Dawn and Mark who work tirelessly for the charity, they knew there was a fun way of fundraising deliciously.
This November, they’re inviting the wonderful community of Milton Keynes to join them for a mouthwatering event, a Burger Challenge that brings people together for fun and fundraising, all in the name of a remarkable cause. Dawn, Henry’s Mum, says “Sign up and eat a Henry VIII Burger for Henry and raise vital funds for your local children’s cancer charity - The Henry Allen Trust. Thank you Three Tree’s for your amazing ongoing support and Henry’s favourite place to eat”.
The Burger Challenge is set for Friday, November 15th, at The Three Trees from 7pm. If you’ve got a hearty appetite and want a test of both appetite and heart, there has never been a more worthwhile cause to dig deep, get dirty and feel full up for. With prizes for the fastest 3 to demolish our famous monarch of a burger ‘The King Henry VIII’ in the quickest time, you’re more than welcome to spectate, support or tuck in if you think you have what it takes.
Henry changed the lives of so many and, before he passed away so sadly in October 2013 from Neuroblastoma. Henry made his Mummy and Daddy “pinkie promise” to follow his dream – helping other children and their families create memories and fulfil wishes. This is how The Henry Allen Trust began, and this is why supporters of the trust are so dedicated today. We’re all still working to fulfil Henry’s wish - helping families who need to find smiles when they’re in pain, but this costs money and needs the support, charity and donations from our local community.
For just £24.95 tuck into our monstrous burger with all proceeds being donated straight to Henry Allen Trust so that they continue to carry out the life changing and monumental work they do for families in need.
