Used by both tradespeople and customers in order to make appointments and schedules more manageable, and therefore, more efficient.
In May 2024, we spoke to Milton Keynes businessman Iain Row about his plans for a new customer app, Fintrano. This aimed to take the frustration out of communicating with tradespeople, using instant SMS confirmations and live ‘on-my-way’ tracking links. Now growing fast in Milton Keynes, we wanted to catch up on the impact Fintrano has had.
Since launching officially in Milton Keynes at the start of 2025, Fintrano has helped a wide selection of businesses delight their customers. In March, they tracked their 500th job, and in April hit their 600th.
Aside from the usual plumbers and electricians, companies as varied as photographers, estate agents, landscape gardeners and even coffee machine engineers are using Fintrano. Across the board, they report that their customers are much more relaxed, as they know exactly what is going on, and they have dramatically reduced wasted journeys due to no-shows.
“I thought it was a good idea, but even I have been surprised by how positive the feedback been,” said Iain. “The early feedback from the end users was that it made them feel safe, that it was a first-class service, and what company doesn’t want to deliver that?”
One key to Fintrano’s success is the unique pricing model; unlike other software, companies are not charged per user, per month, but simply 80p per job. It keeps the costs fair, because they only pay for what they use.
Iain says that another key is the ability of Fintrano to drive positive reviews.
“We’ve always asked the end user what they think once a job is complete. Now, if they love the company, we simply prompt them to leave a review on Google, or Facebook, wherever is best. Our customers delight their customers and get more positive reviews. We call it the Fintrano Loop and it’s proven very powerful.” For more information, visit https://fintrano.com
