October News from Camphill Milton Keynes

As ever Camphill MK have been busy bees and can boast a whole host of activities. If you've missed their latest on social media, here's what they've been up to this month.

    New Accessible Homes Milestone Ceremony

We have reached a significant milestone in our plans to create new accessible homes! Camphill MK's trustees, leadership team, care staff, residents, funders and Milton Keynes Mayor Marie Bradburn headed to the roof of tour £3m building to finish laying the base for the green roof and celebrate the completion of the structural work for the building. The house in Pennylands will be completed in Spring 2025 when we begin raising additional funds to build the second house as part of our master plan of five houses of our major Capital Plan.

We were so impressed with our all-staff talent evening. Showcasing our team’s broad spectrum of talents, everyone who stepped on stage is a winner. Our audience was so supportive and applauded throughout the evening. Our residents are so proud of the team, and everyone said they had a great time.

New Chair of Trustees Announced from 2025

We're so pleased to announce our new Chair of Trustees! Elizabeth Sheldon, who joined the Camphill MK board four years ago, brings with her a robust business network that will be instrumental in our charity's growth. Elizabeth shared, "I have been passionate about Camphill MK and its residents for years, and it is a pleasure to use my experience and networks to support Camphill as it grows.
I look forward to taking on the role of Chair from January next year".
