Nine miles of congestion on the M1 Southbound near Milton Keynes has resulted in 90-minute delays this morning (28/10).
Highways England says this is due to a broken down vehicle and a large amount of hydraulic fluid that has spilt across the lanes near Junction 11a.
Three lanes are closed in the affected area, which has resulted in a large amount of congestion from Junction 11a towards Junction 14 (Milton Keynes).
Drivers are advised to allow extra time and consider using alternate routes this morning.
There is also slow traffic on the A5 between Bletchley and Dunstable due to cars diverting.
