More Information (MKFM is not responsible for external websites)

Abram Games was one of the 20th Century’s most innovative graphic designers.

During World War Two he produced maps for the Army Bureau of Current Affairs, as well as book covers and insignias.

In 1942 he was appointed ‘Official War Poster Artist’ and went on to publish over 100 poster designs. His technique adhered to the philosophy of ‘maximum meaning, minimum means’ and produced powerful, memorable and distinctive work. So ground-breaking was his approach, some of his posters were thought too controversial to publish.

Join his daughter, Naomi, to discover more about his life and work as a wartime artist.
