Along the way we present a selection from Charles Villiers Stanford’s 'Six Elizabethan Pastorals', Edward Elgar’s 'O Happy Eyes' and American composer Amy Beach’s 'Three Shakespeare Choruses'. This eclectic programme also includes pieces by lesser-known figures such as William Bowie, another Scot. Themes of love and parting predominate, with some naughty nautical diversions.
The concert will take place on 27 June from 1pm–2pm in the Hub Theatre on the OU Walton Hall campus.
Admission to the concert is free and open to all, and includes a printed programme. Because of limited seating in the Hub Theatre, we recommend you book in advance via the Eventbrite link:
