Free Korfball Beginners Sessions - try this great mixed team sport!

We are holding three FREE beginners sessions (indoors) to introduce new players to korfball - the best sport you've never played!

Korfball is similar to netball and basketball in style, but it is unique as it is a mixed-sex sport where teams have to be made up of equal numbers of male and female players. All levels of skill and fitness are welcome and you don't need to know the rules in advance because we'll teach them all, although if you do want an advance preview of the rules, you can view one here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GUtJB5jBOis

If you enjoy it (and we're sure you will!) you can then join MK Lakers Korfball Club, who will be training at the same time same place. This course is a relaunch of the club after many of the previous players moved out of the area, so most people will be new, which means everyone can learn together, and some existing players from both MK clubs (MK Lakers and MK Bucks) will be there too.

If you've played before and want to get back into korfball then do come along too - we tailor the activities to the experience and fitness of everyone there.

The sessions are indoors so all you need is normal sports kit and trainers (most people bring a drink although there is also a water fountain). There will also be a chance to go for a drink at the adjoining hotel bar afterwards.

Note that this session is age 16+ only due to venue rules, although most/all people will be adults anyway. (Young people aged 13-15 who are happy to play with adults are welcome at the MK Bucks Thursday sessions in Bletchley - they are also running beginner sessions)

This is a new venue and the first time korfball has been back in the east side of MK for a few years, we are looking forward to relaunching here!
