In the early hours of yesterday morning (13/03), local firefighter crews attended the scene after a car fire occurred on the M1 northbound between Newport Pagnell Service Area and junction 15.
At around 12:55 AM, one appliance and crew from Newport Pagnell and two from Broughton attended. Firefighters used one hose reel, one set of breathing apparatus and a thermal imaging camera.
It is currently unknown whether anyone at the scene sustained any injuries.
The local fire service has not indicated that this fire was started intentionally, though this news comes after a recent increase in arson attacks on vehicles in Milton Keynes.
