A lorry fire on the M1 Northbound near Milton Keynes caused delays to motorists earlier.
All traffic was held for a time on the Northbound carriageway but the road is now open as normal.
The Southbound carriageway was also affected but this is also now fully re-open.
Two fire appliances and crews from Broughton, one from Newport Pagnell and an officer attended.
Firefighters used one hose reel and one set of breathing apparatus.
The fire was on the northbound carriageway between J13 for Milton Keynes South and J14 for Milton Keynes.
Motorists were told to expect delays in the area in both directions.
